Some additional information to put the MK-ULTRA material in context.
The Anthrax Letters
New Scientist, 9 May 2002: Anthrax attack bug “identical” to army strain.
The DNA sequence of the anthrax sent through the US mail in 2001 has been revealed and confirms suspicions that the bacteria originally came from a US military laboratory.
The data released uses codenames for the reference strains against which the attack strain was compared. But New Scientist can reveal that the two reference strains that appear identical to the attack strain most likely originated at the US Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases at Fort Detrick (USAMRIID), Maryland.
Since Porton Down is the focus of the LSD material it is important to see how much of the anthrax ‘incidents’ were known. As the quote below shows ot was very early this became public:
The Telegraph, 17 December 2001: CIA links Porton Down to anthrax attacks
Both Porton Down, directly, and the CIA, indirectly, received their samples of the particular anthrax spores used in the attacks from the US army medical research institute of infectious diseases at Fort Detrick, about 50 miles north of Washington.
