In its current state, this page is not for any real beginners. My intention a couple of weeks ago was to – for the first time – time an event with publication, in the case the 20th lamentation of the Iraq war. (Of course I missed that opportunity.) In preparing for this, I wanted to include some very interesting material about my own Terra Incognita, the Saturn and Pluto pair. I have never found any reason to dig deeper there since I dismissed
I dare to say that this must be one of the most impressive charts that can be found in recent times. Gave me some never planned work. I blame it on Robert Hand and his 2001 article A Crisis of Power: Saturn and Pluto Face Off in the Mountain Astrologer. This article contains a lot of very useful information and it is too bad it’s no longer to be found, but fortunately I had saved a copy!
The Tenth House
Standing at the top of the whole structure of society is the government. This house rules that government and the particular “ruling class” who constitute the government, whether royal family, aristocracy, landed oligarchy, traditional chieftains or party managers. The tenth house also rules national prestige and is an indication of how a society will be seen by its neighbours. As in the individual, the MC indicates the ideals which a society seeks to attain and consciously cultivates.
This makes it unavoidable to show the ghastly interpretation of the birth of the United States of America. In my opinion, Neptune is the most emphasized planet in the US chart. The close square to Mars, an admittedly weak conjunction with MC, most elevated plant and very well-placed in a Guaqelin zone.
It is not on the top of my reading list, but the first paragraph was such a perfect description of what is happening in the fourth house and it just had to be quoted here.

As usual, I found this by some sort of accident. I was trying to put together a first public post focused on the Iraq War as it happened to have its 20-year commemoration. As you have seen, or will see, almost everything in my current work is about Mars interactions with the US Independence chart. When I looked at the Iraq War chart a couple of years ago, I found nothing that would connect it to what I was doing at that time. Wrong!
One of my most used phrases is “as you will see later”, something that is a necessity since I can’t add every bit of information everywhere. What I have found more than uncanny too often is the AC/MC axes insistence to be close to points in the Independence chart. Here we find the moment when the first Shock and Awe was unleashed on the people of Iraq, connects almost exactly to the US Mars, Neptune, and Ascendant.
Of course, I then had to investigate all other related moments and charts. Many charts. I have looked exclusively at Uranus and Neptune, so Saturn and Pluto has been far below my radar. Actually, I have to admit that I am almost totally ignorant there. The only thing I have noticed is that the mentioning Saturn and Pluto has some sort of Shock and Awe effect on many astrologers. I can understand that. I insist that it is impossible to say that anything in the horoscope explicitly is either good or bad, but unfortunately I have not found anything exclusively “good” to say about this pair.
